Cooking with Lavender
Lavender is an ancient herb with many uses, and is growing in
popularity, especially in the culinary arena. This class will show
you a whole new culinary usage for this herb. Learn new and
revolutionary techniques in preparing this aromatic flower! You will
leave this class with a wealth of knowledge and several gourmet
recipes that will awaken your palate and heighten your
creativity!

Sushi Basics
A hands on sushi class where you will learn how to make perfect
Sushi Rice and beautiful Makis (rolls). Along with a little
vocabulary and etiquette you will leave with the ability to recreate
what you have learned right in your own home. All food and supplies
are provided, you only need to bring your HUGE appetite!

Asian Sauces
Make a basic cheese sauce, experience the simplicity of a peanut
sauce and the exoticness of a Thai curry sauce. From these basics,
you will learn how to turn a simple sauce into a complex,
wonderfully unique experience without a lot of effort. These are
only a few of the sauces that will be covered. You will leave this
class with the ability to make a gourmet dish at a moments
notice.

Asian Wraps
Wraps come in many forms and complex flavors including lettuce,
rice paper, pancakes, or even a wonton. Learn how to make a variety
of dishes using wraps that are easy to make and create beautiful
presentations. These dishes are the perfect item for parties,
elegant luncheons, or even a twist on the old dinner menu.

Advanced Sushi
This advanced hands-on sushi class is for students who want to
know more than just the basics. We will review making perfect Sushi
rice and rolls, how to cut, prepare, and present Nigiri style Sushi
and Sashimi, along with a bit of vocabulary and history. Bring an
appetite.

East Meets West Comfort Foods
Start your winter with warm and filling dishes from all over the
world! Kris Dews (know for her Asian fusion cuisine) & Ross
Johnson (classically trained) will be teaching you how to make
comfort foods from countries like Japan to Thailand to France, and
even a few American dishes. These recipes are easy and fun to make,
and class will include some hands-on time. Snacks and beverages will
be provided, so join us for a hot cup of tea, bowl of soup, and much
more!

Thai Delight
Thai cuisine has become very popular in the Northwest, learn how
to make dishes such as Phat Thai Noodles, Beef Salad, and Tom Kha
Kai (chicken coconut soup), which are only a few of the dishes that
will be covered, and create a delightful Thai experience right in
your own home. Learn about the spices and ingredients that make this
exotic cuisine so unique.
